The final task is to make use of bone rigging within Unity to animate a sprite, I did this by using an existing sprite and creating it’s own bone structure using the Sprite Editor in Unity. This allowed me to individually move its body parts within a plethora of keyframes in order to present the sprite in motion. The only success I found was in creating an idle animation, any sprinting or jumping I tried to configure made the sprite warp and contort incorrectly which lead to a jittery and visually displeasing animation.
